Burson-Marsteller UK’s consumer agency and romantic social network start their relationship
London, 21 June 2012 – The romantic social network, Zoosk, has awarded its significant six-figure UK consumer PR brief to Be More, the integrated brand marketing practice from Burson-Marsteller.
PR Week first reported that the romantic social network was on the hunt for an agency in April.
The UK is the site’s second largest market behind the US and the decision to invest more in PR emphasises Zoosk’s strategic priority of influencing Britain’s consumer audience. The Zoosk platform has millions of members from around the globe and allows individuals to create and share different stages of their romantic journeys – aided by a variety of tools such as Romantic Moments, Couple Profiles, and a Personals application.
Be More’s brief will be to proactively tell Zoosk’s unique story in creative ways across the communications mix, with a view to making Zoosk synonymous with romance in the UK. It is the latest addition to Burson-Marsteller’s growing portfolio of consumer brands in the Be More practice – which also includes Ford, Activia, Shape, Bacardi and Al Jazeera English.
Jane Barrett, Zoosk’s Director of Communications announced the new partnership, saying “Zoosk is a young, energetic brand with a distinct proposition and big plans. We felt that the team at Be More mirrored these qualities and are excited as us about taking our brand forward in the UK.”
