Gavin Grant, UK Chairman of Burson-Marsteller, has been appointed Chief Executive of the RSPCA

London, 19 October, 2011 – Gavin Grant, UK Chairman of Burson-Marsteller (B-M), has been appointed Chief Executive of the RSPCA.  Grant has worked at B-M for over 10 years.  He has had a lifelong commitment to animal welfare and was the RSPCA’s Director of Communications and Campaigns between 1988-1991.

Commenting Gavin Grant said

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at B-M but the role of RSPCA Chief Executive is the one opportunity I could not turn down.  I leave at a time when B-M is very much on the up with the most talented team of staff I have seen in my time here.”

Commenting on the appointment Matt Carter, UK CEO of B-M, said

“Over the years Gavin has made a fantastic contribution to B-M’s success.  He has been a wise counsellor for both clients and staff alike.  I am delighted for Gavin that he can now pursue, in a professional capacity, one of the issues that he has always been so passionate about.”
