by Annabel Jaram on 20th October 2010 • News

London, 20 October, 2010 – Burson-Marsteller was last night celebrating further success in this year’s awards season at the 2010 PR Week Awards. At the prestigious ceremony held in London, Burson-Marsteller were double-winners, beating four other agencies to win the International Consultancy of the Year award.

Matt Carter, Chief Executive, Burson-Marsteller UK, said: “This award is a tribute to the amazing team of smart PR professionals at B-M who in the last year have delivered some fantastic campaigns for our clients.”

“We have won new business in areas where B-M is traditionally strong, for example corporate, crisis and public affairs, but in fact the fastest growing areas for us in 2010 are consumer, digital and brand marketing.  This explains in part why we have grown through the downturn and why this has been such a stellar year for B-M.”

2010 has been a great year for B-M UK. As well as client wins with Danone, Lloyds TSB, Heineken and Johnson Controls, the business also brought in major new hires such as Joe Sinclair, director and senior digital strategist.  The UK office now acts as the lead team for around 20% of all major Burson-Marsteller worldwide client relationships.

Last night, B-M UK also picked up the PR Week award for Best Public Affairs Campaign for its work for the Hebrides Range Task Force.
